[GROUP] The Veronicas
Although many music fans here would be quick to write The Veronicas off as girl pop fodder, the truth is that they have their original music heritage in rock'n'roll.
They first started out as the Yabba Dabba Doo Young Entertainers in the mid 1990s playing at shopping centres, and then later at RSLs doing covers of 60's and 70's songs from Roy Orbison to AC/DC.
In 2008, the band recorded a cover of The Easybeats "Good Times" for a tribute album to them.
After spending a number of years entrenched in doing synthpop and commercial Top 40 pop, they are apparently returning to their rock roots with their signing to Big Noise Records in LA.
